Summary of Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to ensure adequate and consistent standards in contract management in Urenco’s project portfolio. The Contract Manager’s responsibility includes the proficient application of standards and responsibility for the contract management output in Urenco’s project portfolio. The role provides a check/review on payments and contractor performance as a key element of the role. The Contract Manager will assume functional accountability for the effective application of Urenco standards, and be responsible for project contract management output for Urenco projects. The Contract Manager will provide subject matter expert consulting, advice and instruction. The role will be accountable for the development and maintenance of Urenco’s processes and procedures for contract management.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, supply chain, business administration, construction or related fields. • 10+ years’ experience in negotiations, procurement and contract management with proven track record in contracting for engineering and construction services.
Demonstrable experience working within the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management and negotiations
Knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR)
MBA is advantageous
Demonstrable success in arbitration, litigation or adjudication
Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision

Primary Functions
Experienced in the management of construction claims
Ability to analyze organizational requirements and critical success factors and translate these into Urenco’s needed contract management processes
Demonstrable acumen in developing and implementing strategies that successfully deliver project to business objectives (safety, budget, cost, benefits) in alignment with industry best practices
Excellent, in-depth knowledge of various industry standard forms of construction contract
Capability to track benefits realization and lessons learned activities to feed into ongoing improvements to the contracting process
Good Understanding of legal terms and conditions
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills
Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with multinational internal and external stakeholders
Skilled in leading and influencing teams and individuals to success with minimal supervision
Proven responsibility in mentoring and coaching personnel effectively
Excellent understanding of Contracts & Projects Environment, preferably the EPC/EPCM industry and some experience of regulated industries desirable
Demonstrable experience across the entire project lifecycle including success in dispute resolution processes such as arbitration
Experience of preparing amendments and change orders to contracts, Analysis of, and defence against, contractor claims and preparation of owner claims, Reviewing and assessing contractor valuations for works completed. and negotiation of final accounts.
Working knowledge of standard forms of contracts and relevant laws and regulations in administering both standard and bespoke forms of contract
