Summary of Responsibilities
The Drafter works with the engineering group to create Computer-Aided-Design (AutoCAD) drawings in support of maintaining and upgrading systems and facilities under general supervision. The Drafter will participate in data gathering activities such as interfacing with internal clients, engineers, and other key personnel with relevant design inputs, as well as conducting walk-downs of existing facilities, systems, structures and components to aid in the creation of cost effective solutions.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates, or technical degree in Auto Computer-Aided-Drafting (AutoCAD), or a similar science or technical field or a professional certification in drafting, construction design, architecture, or related discipline.

Job Details
Work Location: Eunice, NM.
Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required
Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance
Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Essential Skills
Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
Must have a working to fundamental knowledge of ASTM, IEEE and computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software to produce models, drawings, layouts or engineering concepts to support technical baseline.
Must have a working to fundamental understanding of ASME, ANSI, AWS and related industry standards addressing fit, form, and function.
Must be able to determine technical objectives of assignments, which may be completed without established procedures under general supervision.
Must be able to understand modelling, drawing and drafting principals for application of symbols and notes, to drawings and models to capture design intent.
Must be able to grasp engineering, design, and drafting concepts with general supervision and support.
Must be able to read and generate AutoCAD design drawings.
Must be able to grasp and apply engineering, configuration management, and technical baseline development concepts.
Must be able to work well in teams with general oversight and supervision.
Must be able to grasp applicable regulations and understand the regulatory process.
Must be able to implement changes for the facility.

Primary Functions
Uses computer-aided design (AutoCAD) equipment or manual drafting to produce sketches and drawings under general supervision.
Work as part of the multidiscipline engineering team in support of maintaining and upgrading utility systems and facilities by preparing quality Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD) drawings.
Interfaces with clients, other drafters, and engineers to establish and maintain technical baseline documentation on assigned facilities/systems. Technical baseline documentation provides an accurate picture of our facilities and assets. This allows our Operations and Maintenance teams to effectively do their job in the field by utilizing an accurate drawing of assets.
Completes historical drawing research and integrates appropriate and verified information into new baselines.
Works across multiple disciplines and actively engages stakeholders for their feedback.
Performs field work such as walk downs and data gathering of existing utility systems and facilities, systems, structures and components.
Supports technical solutions to complex and/or unique problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity, creativity and independence. Solutions are frequently original and impact the outcome of the entire project.
Applies advanced technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques in the completion of complex work assignments.
Participates in design reviews with stakeholders, addressing compatibility between of design drawings and models with other disciplines, clarifying interfaces and resolving issues.
