Summary of Responsibilities

As the Team Lead Project Quality Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our projects. You will lead and guide a team of quality professionals, overseeing their day-to-day activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications 
  • Background in Technical Business Processes (areas: Electrical, mechanical, systems or instrumental);
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field preferred (e.g. Technical Process Management, Quality Management);
  • Experienced in leading Quality programs in projects;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO, ASTM, DIN, BSI and other international standards;
  • Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification, preferred IRCA/CQI;
  • Microsoft Office skills;
  • Traveling can be required.
Job Details

Primary Functions
  • Report to the Technical Quality Program Manager, providing updates on team performance and project status;
  • Lead a team of Quality Engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship;
  • Promote a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging innovation and problem-solving;
  • Lead Quality Assurance and Control covering multiple projects;
  • Ensure the effective performance of all project quality activities against the compliance requirements of project specifications and standards;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams over different sites;
  • Promote project quality and safety awareness and developing a ‘Right First Time’ culture throughout the project;
  • Take part in License Condition compliance audits, when applicable;
  • Undertake corrective actions when required to maintain or improve compliance and best practice;
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to internal departments;
  • Review and advice on supplier and contractor documents as required;
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and best practices, coach departments where needed in the proper use;
  • Implement quality metrics and performance indicators to measure project progress and success;
  • Contribute to the Quality Framework fitting for UTD;
  • Contribute to and promote a (new) Integrated Quality Management System procedures, instructions and forms for UTD.

Compensation starting at: $121000 - 146000 / year and up dependent on candidate.
