Urenco USA was awarded the New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) Foundation’s President’s Circle Award. This award honors and recognizes a donor from the business community who has made significant contributions to NMJC. NMJC is one of Urenco’s Social Impact Partnerships. Urenco USA has partnered with NMJC to build a Nuclear Energy Certificate and Associate Degree Program to prepare future workforce for a career in the nuclear industry. This program is a continuation of the high school workforce training program at the Career and Technical Education Center of Hobbs (CTECH). Over the course of four years, Urenco USA will invest $400,000 in educational support to NMJC students that are part of this program. “We are very proud to receive this prestigious honor and provide the opportunity for local students to train for careers in the nuclear industry. The current students in the program are great examples of how local talent can become our future workforce,” Lisa Hardison, Director of Community Relations.
