Summary of Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Specialist, working in the Compliance group, will be responsible for implementing the Quality Assurance Program at Urenco USA. The QA Specialist interfaces with employees and managers at all levels of the organization and also with external vendors and government agencies while adhering to foundational behaviors, company values, and Urenco behaviors.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
1+ years’ commensurate experience
OR
Associate’s Degree
3+ years’ commensurate experience
OR
10 years’ commensurate experience without degree
AND
NQA1 Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years’ experience
NDA, NDT, Lead Quality Auditor, or Certified Welding Inspector Certification
Required Skills
Strong written and oral communications
The ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
Strong computer skills to include moderate to MS Word, Excel (moderate to advanced), Ethan (ASL software), and SAP
The ability to maintain independence in daily work assignments with moderate to little direct supervision
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Broad knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
Expertise in quality system, auditing, and analytical methods
Knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation
NIAC database knowledge
Knowledge of, and/or the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of NRC revisions to regulations, industry codes, and standards including but not limited to; 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, 49CFR, and 10CFR71 Subpart H
The ability to obtain/maintain qualifications needed for Lead Auditor Qualifications per ANSI N45.2.23, NQA-1, and ISO 17025, ISO and site procedure requirements

Emergency Response requirements are negotiable
Work Schedule: Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed
Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required

Primary Functions
Under general supervision perform the functions of ASME NQA-1 and ISO audits as lead auditor as per procedures
Under general supervision perform the functions of QC inspector as per standards and procedures
Under general supervision perform the functions of generating audit reports, evaluations, and technical reports
Under general supervision effectively communicate and collaborate within all levels of the organization including suppliers/vendors
Possess education, knowledge, and experience sufficient to be certified as a Level II inspector in one or more areas (Mechanical Inspection, Civil Inspection, Receipt Inspection, and Electrical Inspection)
