UUSA Attends 2022 Freshman Career Fair
04 November 2022
Recently, representatives from UUSA visited the Hobbs Freshman High School to participate in a career fair.
The Hobbs Freshman School hosts their career fair every year and always invites members from the different organizations in our community to participate by sharing what they do with the students.
This year, several employees volunteered to share their background and experiences with the freshman students. Operators Nathan Park and Chase Slaughter volunteered to discuss a high-level overview of what our Chemistry team does for students interested in pursuing a career in chemical science. Engineer Josh Ordonez, a new member of the UUSA team, enthusiastically shared how students could pursue a career in the engineering field. Meanwhile, Tristen Thompson shared his experience working as an operator at our facility – and how unique such a role is in this area.
“UUSA plays such a unique role – both in our industry and this community,” stated Karen Fili, President and CEO of UUSA. “We’re dedicated to showing students the opportunities available to them right in their hometown.”
