Summary of Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the site maintenance organization, which includes Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance Support, HVAC systems, and Warehouse and Facilities maintenance organizations. Included in these responsibilities is organizing, controlling, and coordinating the conduct of site maintenance activities, maintenance planning and scheduling, maintenance support activities, and contractor management. Establish, enforce, and maintain safe working standards and practices in the Maintenance Department. Responsible for reinforcing safe work practices, oversight/ownership of the maintenance training program, and control of the maintenance budget.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, or related scientific field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: 8+ years of related experience; of which, a minimum of 3 years in previous leadership role and 4+ years of responsible nuclear experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in supervising and managing organizations responsible for the maintenance, or operations of a nuclear, or chemical facility.
Job Details
Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
Work Schedule: Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
Travel Required: 10% of the time or less is required
Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA and an L or q level security clearance is required.
Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of <100>100>

Primary Functions
Develops and Implements the site Maintenance department's strategic goals and objectives to achieve the company’s long-range business plan.
Aligns the site Maintenance organization around daily operational needs, emergent issues, ongoing maintenance activities, challenges to schedules, and the workplace environment through regular and effective communication with maintenance personnel.
Ensures that group standards/expectations, local health, safety, and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood through direct observation to ensure the safety of people, and resources.
Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, trained, and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect employees within People & Culture Policies, Directives, and Procedures.
Represents the department by providing presentations and information to senior management on a regular basis to communicate the status of pending maintenance and equipment performance and being accountable for project completions and achievement of compliance goals. Interacts with project teams and cross-functional groups as they impact the quality of plant maintenance or facility operation.
Establish procedures and performance metrics including tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance in terms of safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction for areas of responsibility.
Proposes and manages the annual site maintenance budget. Administers purchasing activities for areas of responsibility, and monitors the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary.
Defines site maintenance policies and processes that drive maximum efficiency of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. Develops and implements life cycle management procedures for all new and existing equipment.
Manage, develop, and maintain systems to capture equipment performance, and maintenance history. Analyze data to develop improvements that will limit downtime and maximize efficiencies.
Implements the work management, (and outage management) processes for the site focusing on (in priority order), safety, cost, and production.
Ensure materials and supplies necessary to perform site maintenance plans and recommend methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance and safety of equipment.
Manages and operates a Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Program to efficiently plan, and organize maintenance and capture an effective maintenance history of plant systems and components to provide for trending, predictive maintenance, and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborates with the Engineering department in the definition of maintenance plans and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance, and safety of equipment.
Develop and propose improvement projects for processes and production design to improve environmental compliance requirements, safety, quality, and overall operation of service levels to customers.

Must know environmental and safety regulations.
Must know building and maintenance trades.

Compensation Range
$157,950 - $197,438 / year and up dependent on candidate.
