Monitors, controls, and operates uranium enrichment equipment and other production-related equipment at URENCO USA and ETC to produce enriched uranium while protecting the health and safety of the public and plant employees and preventing damage to plant equipment and structures. Ensures adherence to high standards of human performance and safety.

1+ years working in a manufacturing environment. Experience in working according to manufacturing methods, policies, and standards.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
3+ years working in a centrifuge assembly environment. Experience in working to manufacturing methods, policies, and standards.
Job Details
The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
Monday through Friday; 8 am to 5pm. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
Travel: Yes; 10% of the time
CAA Access; L or Q level security clearance

Primary Functions
Ability to understand and implement the ETC TC21 and TC12 centrifuge Reference Design as it applies to series production, including knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, interactions between complex mechanical systems and relevant international standards
Experience applying a deep understanding of key technical methods, designs, concepts, and processes essential for ensuring the robust and high-performance output of ETC TC21 and TC12 centrifuges and cascades
Experience developing and maintaining a comprehensive set of technical procedures and process diagrams supporting daily shop floor centrifuge assembly and installations steps and processes
Knowledge and experience applying ETC factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and manufacturing qualification program requirements in support of commissioning TC21 and TC12 assembly and installation equipment, processes, and tooling
Active qualification as an Authorized Derivative Classifier and associated experience implementing classification guide CG-LCP-4A as it applies to the classification of centrifuge component parts
Capability to develop efficient TC21 and TC12 centrifuge production strategies, and manage efforts to carry out analysis and calculations to resolve production challenges
Hands-on ability to perform TC21 and TC12 shop floor and equipment maintenance, planning, and production functions
Interface with the Maintenance Department to plan, schedule, and implement the work management system.
Accomplish complex operational tasks and assignments.
Perform the duties of a radiation and chemical worker employing sound radiological and chemical work practices to minimize the spread of contamination and generation of contaminated waste and ensure that work is performed in a manner such that the radiation dose received is “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
