Summary of Responsibilities

Coordinate and assist in activities to ensure that the facility production line outputs and standards are realized by the conduct of job activities at the tactical and operational levels in the areas of work preparation and production. In addition, conducts line engineering tasks, and calibration activities to ensure no impact to quality of product and production.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ experience in engineering with 3 years’ experience in manufacturing/production environment with sound electrical engineering skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering
  • In addition to the minimum, three years work in a nuclear work environment.
Other:
  • Ability to function well in a cross-functional, team-based environment
  • Must successfully complete required general employee training courses
  • Maintain compliance with NRC Fitness for Duty requirements
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Able to wear and use safety gear associated with operations, engineering, and maintenance processes including respirator equipment and fall protection equipment
  • Must obtain and maintain a Q level Clearance.

Job Details
  • The work location for this position is with Enrichment Technology US, Inc in Eunice, NM
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required.  Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed
  • Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc3
Physical Job Demands:

The Process Engineer has a physically demanding job that may include standing and walking for long periods. In addition, incumbent will have to push or pull up to 75 pounds and is required to be able to safely lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work at heights and climb multiple stairs. May be exposed to hazardous materials that require use of personal protective equipment. Possible exposure to strenuous working conditions that will require the use of personal safety equipment (i.e., face shield, back braces, goggles, gloves, steel-toed shoes, etc.).

Position Interacts With (internal and external contacts):
Interacts with all levels of ETC USA personnel. May be called upon to serve as primary ETC USA contact with UUSA to coordinate Engineering issues with UUSA Project and Operations Teams.


Primary Functions
  • Maintains a work ethic where industrial and nuclear safety is the number one priority including ensuring safety protocol is followed for all activities being conducted
  • Comply with the implementation of activities surrounding Production Support and Engineering including the following:
    • Engineering activities supporting series production manufacturing equipment, tooling, lines, and services
    • Engineering activities on electrical, mechanical, control, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, and specialized systems in support of series production
    • Coordination, engineering and oversight of the day-to-day calibration of measuring and test equipment tooling inventory
    • Conduct purchasing activities in support of engineering projects
    • Work directly with ETC Centrifuge Design team to ensure Centrifuge specifications are in compliance with Reference Design documents and quality issues are addressed and solved
  • Provide oversight of 3rd party engineering contractors including ensuring outside services are provided in accordance with contracts and work orders
  • Assist in development and continual improvement of working procedures and manufacturing documentation for operations, logistics, and engineering personnel including the following:
    • Procedures in support of operations; centrifuge assembly and installation
    • Procedures in support of adherence to OSHA safety regulations and other industrial safety best-practices
    • Procedures in support of developing standards for measuring and test equipment calibration
  • Assist in ensuring that production techniques are implemented and updated in accordance with the approved centrifuge reference design and ETC standards
  • Provide assistance in solving challenges and problems associated with technique, information technology, operational strategies, maintenance, line engineering, logistics, and quality
  • Conduct engineering and projects within budget, within quality standards and on time
  • Proficient at developing and editing technical documentation
  • Ensure production techniques are implemented
  • Must be able to organize ideas and translate technical terms into easily understood terms
  • Support a safe work environment
  • Support a Safety Conscious Work Environment SCWE
  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and use all required safety equipment
  • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner
  • Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Compensation starting at: $ 121320 - 109487 / year and up dependent on candidate experience.
