Summary of Responsibilities

The Predictive Maintenance Program Manager is responsible for managing the predictive maintenance of plant equipment; mechanical, electrical and instrumentation. Management and implementation and direct oversight of the program in tandem with ongoing analyses of predictive maintenance data. Involves facilitation of interdepartmental discussions, deriving solutions based on analysis outputs and pinpointing the most efficient and effective routes for progress. Interface with vendors to provide arrangement of expansions needs and software applications ensuring adequate scheduling and budget requirements.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalency of experience
  • 3 Years in a maintenance or engineering leadership position within an organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in a Technical discipline
  • 3-5 years in a maintenance or engineering leadership position within an organization

Job Details
  • Work Location: Eunice, NM
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
  • Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty will be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
  • Responsible for the protection of confidential and proprietary information received during employment, including keeping information in strict confidence, exercising a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others, not disclosing or divulging either directly or indirectly information to others, and not using the information commercially or for any other purpose other than the performance of their duties for Urenco. Confidential information includes information and data of any kind concerning any matters affecting or relating to Urenco business or operations, including compensation, investigations, financial controls, etc.

Physical Job Demands:
  • This job operates in an industrial, chemical and radiological plant environment. There is frequent walking, bending, standing, lifting of loads up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs throughout the plant.
  • Some watch stations may require the employee to sit for a substantial part of the shift while monitoring plant parameters.
  • This position may require the employee to walk long distances (up to 3 miles) throughout the day, stand for periods of up to 4 hours and work rotating shifts consisting of at least 12.5 hours per shift.
  • The employee must possess the physical ability necessary to perform nuclear materials work. This includes:
  • The ability to wear appropriate PPE for assigned tasks.
  • Manual dexterity necessary to correctly operate plant equipment.
  • Visual acuity necessary to inspect plant equipment for leaks and other visible flaws.

Primary Functions
  • Oversees the technical leadership of the organization in the development, implementation, and execution of the predictive maintenance program
  • Directs efforts of Plant Maintenance Managers, Shift Managers and Maintenance Support to schedule maintenance and project work.
  • Leads selection, and operation of data monitoring equipment for collection of predictive maintenance and the evaluation of resulting failure patterns for program improvement inputs
  • Responsible for integrated in the failure mode analysis of monitored and unmonitored equipment for evaluation of continued inclusion, changes to maintenance program, and additions to the predictive maintenance program
  • Leads planning and organization the predictive maintenance of plant machinery, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Responsible for processes and procedures predictive maintenance program execution
  • Augment changes to preventive maintenance programs on results of predictive maintenance monitoring results
  • Researches, implements, and monitors data collection of maintenance program equipment.
  • Determines sampling frequency, triggers, routes and methods for information.
  • Takes the initiative to learn the technologies (Thermography, Analysis, Vibration, Ultrasonic, etc.) to the level necessary to do job effectively.
  • Maintains a computerized predictive maintenance management system.
  • Trains personnel the use of predictive maintenance equipment.
  • Develops and performance indicators for predictive maintenance
  • Oversees the review operating reports and inspection records to identify faulty equipment.
  • Leads problem identification efforts; recommending action plans to the area supervisor/manager.
  • Meets operational standards by contributing predictive maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems
  • Reports health of equipment Monthly including a plan to monitor any equipment with potential problems.
  • Prepares predictive maintenance CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • Leads efforts to identify equipment for predictive maintenance monitoring continuously evaluate for improvement
